15U and 16U - November 4th and 5th

We understand that some clubs have made the decision to hold tryouts for their travel teams in July and/or August. At Palmetto Strikers, we feel it is in the best interest of the players to hold tryouts in the fall after the athletes have completed their school volleyball season. We want to be sure that parents and players have all the necessary information (coach assignments for each team, practice locations, dues/costs, tournament schedules, etc.) to make the best decision for their family. Additionally, our teams are highly competitive and are competing at USAV Girls Junior National Championships in Chicago and AAU National Championships in Orlando through July 4th. We feel it is important for athletes to have an opportunity to decompress, reflect on their season and prepare for school team tryouts, prior to being required to make a such an important decision regarding the next club/travel team season.
We feel that athletes and their families should have an opportunity to tryout for all clubs and to make the best decision based on the offers received. Clubs holding summer tryouts may require you to pay a commitment fee in an effort to "lock you in." Please be aware that this fee does not mean you are unable to tryout for, or accept an offer, from another club. At PSVC we want athletes to choose to play for us and would never try to shackle athletes to our club by requiring a non-refundable commitment fee before players have had an opportunity to attend tryouts for all clubs.
It is important to note that according to the Palmetto Region website "Athletes may officially commit to a USAV club in SportsEngine (the USAV member management system) beginning on November 1st.This commitment will be the only officially recognized commitment by the Palmetto Region."Full region rules regarding tryouts and commitments can be found under the Palmetto Region Tryout Policy
